Fasnacht, Kaiser-Joseph Straße, 18/02/2012:

This Saturday, the regular münstermarkt extended onto Kaiser-Joseph Straße in celebration of Fasnacht, the German version of Mardi Gras or Carnival. From Thursday until Tuesday, people dress in costume, engage in frivolity, drink a lot, and participate in parades. I walked down the street 25 minutes before the parade started and caught a lot of people in costume eating before show time.
