Ireland National Gallery, Dublin, 19/01/2012:
After the archaeology museum, my parents and I made it to our original destination, the National Gallery. Surprisingly, the museum showcased very few Irish artists, though it did have a lovely van Gogh from early in his career.
However, the most interesting aspect of the museum was the building. It’s modern design and stark lines were a strong contrast to the classical art contained within. This photograph shows the light coming in from behind the stairs on the second floor.
